The year 2024, which we are about to leave behind, has proven to be a year of recognition for us at Famiglia Statella. For this reason, we begin the new year with a burst of energy.

Among the award-winners are the Etna Rosso Pignatuni Vecchie Vigne 2021 and Etna Rosso Pettinociarelle 2021, both of which have garnered praise from both national and international critics.

Etna Rosso Pignatuni Vecchie Vigne 2021
This Cru comes from the volcanic soils of vineyards located in the municipality of Randazzo, in one of the most suitable areas on the northern slopes of Mount Etna: the Pignatuni district. It is a wine that expresses the elegance and depth of Nerello Mascalese, with intense aromas of red fruits and spices, and a finish with great taste persistence.

Etna Rosso Pettinociarelle 2021
A wine that tells the story of the volcanic soils of the Pettinociarelle district, in the municipality of Castiglione di Sicilia. Made from 90% Nerello Mascalese and 10% Nerello Cappuccio, it presents an intense ruby color in youth, with notes of red fruits and Mediterranean herbs. Dense, velvety tannins merge into an enveloping and persistent sip.

An award that celebrates the depth and elegance of Pettinociarelle, symbolizing the balance between tradition and innovation.

Etna Rosato 2022
A rosé that surprises with its freshness and balance. On the nose, it is intense, with floral aromas and notes of red fruits and cherries. On the palate, it presents good aromatic intensity and proper acidity. The minerality typical of Etna wines gives it a pleasant persistence.

Etna Bianco 2023
Finally, our Etna Bianco, described by WineCritics as “Charming, immediately captivating with character and solid interpretation, highlighting the raw materials. Notes of apricots and medlar blend with hints of apples, mixed white flowers, and chopped parsley. Butter nuances enhance the secondary notes. Full-bodied, agile, and tangy, finishing essential with excellent drinkability. Drink now or age.”
